ABOUT Luuk Fleskens
Dr. Luuk Fleskens is an Associate Professor in Sustainable Land Management at Wageningen University, where he earned his PhD in 2007. With over 25 years of experience, his work focuses on assessing the impacts of land and water management, particularly in Africa and Southern Europe. His research considers three aspects of informing sustainable land management: unlocking spatial soil management information; assessing viability and sustainability of land management; and appreciating land management decisions. He has published over 80 papers in scientific journals and currently acts as the interim chair of the Soil Physics and Land Management group. Within ABC Futures, he is promotor of the Mozambique Gorongosa National Park case study PhD student, Filipa Oitaven.
