ABOUT Arash Ghoddousi

I am an assistant professor at the Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Group of Wageningen University, the Netherlands. My research focus is on conservation questions related to the effectiveness of protected areas and a better understanding of human-wildlife interactions. My research is often interdisciplinary, aiming at understanding the interaction of ecological and social factors in natural systems. My projects are also often rooted in applied conservation challenges, and I work closely with different conservation organizations outside academia.

In the ABC Futures project, I’m co-supervising two PhD students in Kenya and Mozambique.
